Position Summary |
A casual opportunity is now available for a Rural & Remote Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Nurse to join the experienced Adult Community Support Services (ACSS) team in Williams Lake. As the ACSS Nurse you will provide urgent outreach, responsive assessment and treatment, case management, GP shared care, education, and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use. Candidates will need to have experience providing mental health and substance use assessments of clients in crisis, and work in a variety of settings such as community-based, in-hospital, and RCMP Cells. We are seeking candidates with flexibility, critical thinking skills and an ability to collaborate within a variety of multi-disciplinary acute care and community care teams. This is a casual opportunity and the possible shifts of work are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30. Qualifications |
Graduation from an approved school of nursing. Two (2) years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Current valid B.C. driver’s license. |
