Interior Health invites applications for the role of Medical Device Reprocessing Technician. Interior Health is looking for Medical Device Reprocessing Technicians knowledgeable in the detailed technical duties related to the decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, function testing and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies/instruments for various areas of the hospital, picking surgical cases and performing other duties associated with the clerical and record keeping.

Regular Full-time, Regular Part-time, Temporary and Casual positions are available
Majority of hospitals operate 7 days a week | 24 hours a day. Some MDR Departments run Monday to Friday. An employee in a full time position is working 37.5 hour per week (exclusive of meal times). Base shift will be 7.5 hours and Rotations: Days, Evenings, or Nights.

Education, Training and Experience:
Grade 12, successful completion of Sterile Processing Course, plus one year’s recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology.
