Position Summary |
If medical nursing is your passion and you are a reliable, flexible and motivated registered nurse, we have a relief full time opportunity now available at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital (2 E/W Unit). This relief is until June 9, 2021 or return of the incumbent. As a Registered Nurse you will work in close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. This 32-bed medical unit offers a dynamic program focussing on the needs of complex medical clients admitted with a variety of diagnoses. The RN schedule is based on 12 hour shifts and schedules are Days (07:00 to 19:00 hours) and Nights (19:00 to 07:00 hours) with rotating days off. The thriving city of Vernon is situated in the northern region of B.C.’s Okanagan Valley among the beautiful Swan, Kalamalka and Okanagan lakes. It boasts a unique history, diversified economy, attractive climate and beautiful natural setting offering residents a highly desirable balance of small-town charm combined with the amenities of an urban centre. As the largest regional centre in the North Okanagan area, it also serves as a major vacation destination. Qualifications |
Education, Training and Experience: • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). **Previous acute medical experience would be considered an asset. |
