Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) offers services that include core physician specialties, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, acute and obstetrical care. The hospital serves approximately 86,000 residents in the areas of Vernon, Armstrong, Enderby, Spallumcheen, Salmon Arm, Revelstoke and Nakusp. VJH is a new seven storey tower efficiently bringing together programs to enhance patient care.
Vernon Jubilee Hospital is currently seeking to hire a Physiotherapist for a temporary, part time position until the return of incumbent November 2019.
As the Physiotherapist you will work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of patients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the patient to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.
This is an opportunity for the Physiotherapist to work in the Acute care environment. Scheduled shifts are 08:30 to 16:12 hours. Rotation consists of 5 on/5 off schedule, which involves working some full weekends as well as part weekends in a 10 week cycle. Successful candidate will work 4 weekends in 10, have 4 weekends in 10 off and then work the Saturday of one weekend and the Sunday of the other weekend.
