Position Summary

Located in Vernon, between Kelowna and Kamloops, Vernon Jubilee Hospital offers services that include core physician specialties, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, acute care, and obstetrical care.

Interior Health’s inpatient bed expansion completed in 2016 where a bew patient care tower added a total of 231,000 square feet of space. Several Programs and services had been consolidated and modernized to improve health service delivery and include expanded Emergency and Ambulatory Care departments, new Intensive Care and Coronary Care units, new larger Operating Rooms, and a new Women’s and Children’s Health Services department to name a few. It provide core medical and surgical specialty services to patients throughout its service area.

Our brand new Peri-Operative Services Department includes five new integrated OR theatres, supported by brand new Pre-Surgical Screening and Surgical Day Care areas, 10 monitored Recovery Bays and Medical Device Reprocessing centre. An additional two OR’s are shelled in for future capacity. The case cart system is now in place and RNs work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with call on weekends.

We are building our Casual pool of OR RNs and looking for new teams members.

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
• Perioperative Certification.
• One year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility is preferred.
