The VJH inpatient telemetry and medical cardiology unit has an amazing, supportive, team environment. There are 30 beds, 14 of which are monitored telemetry and 16 are acute medical. Very fast paced, very high acuity! Come be a part of the excitement!
The Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) as well as within a patient and family-centered care model. The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.
This is a casual opportunity, RNs work rotating days (07:00 to 19:00) and nights (19:00 to 07:00) hours.

Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
Successful completion of a recognized Basic Cardiac Course (which includes telemetry) within the last six (6) months or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
BCLS within 3 years.
