We are presently seeking new team members to join our Dietetic Department at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. A strong candidate will have excellent clinical skills and current registration with the College of Dietitians of BC with restricted Acts A, B, and C.
This position is casual and includes: short-notice, workload coverage during temporary absences; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position.
Shifts for this casual position are based on Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.
The Clinical Dietitian is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides nutrition care and support to patients and groups according to established policies, standards and procedures. Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Clinical Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health. The Clinical Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program.

• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program.
• Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
• One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
