If so, then Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail is the place for you and we currently have an opportunity for a Sonographer in our team. Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBH) performs a wide variety of exams including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, vascular, small parts, echo, and some interventional work (drainages and biopsies). We perform exams in outpatient and inpatient care (including ER and ICU). KBH’s Medical Imaging Department operates 7 days per week with rotating shift times and on-call. It consists of three scanning rooms (two general, vascular and small parts; one echo). The department averages 6,500 exams per year and 1,700 echo exams per year. This is a casual opportunity which means not guaranteed hours. Work requirements can vary between 0 and 37.5 hours per week. Once hired into casual positions, employees then have the opportunity to apply internally on relief and permanent positions as they become available. Many great careers begin with casual employment! Qualifications |
• Graduate of a recognized/accredited North American Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography). • Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular). • Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS. |
