Position Summary |
We are seeking Rehabilitation Assistants with the knowledge and expertise required to effectively carry out patient-centred, rehabilitative treatment plans. In taking clinical direction from either a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team. This position assists Therapists in monitoring and evaluating patients and/or residents’ progression. This is a Casual opportunity where work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week. As the Rehabilitation in a Casual position, you may be asked to cover Acute, Community and/or Residential Care in Trail, Castlegar and Nelson, BC. Casual employment includes: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during a temporary absence; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position. Once hired into a Casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent part-time or full time positions. Qualifications |
Education, Training and Experience: • Completion of a recognized, two-year Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program. • Valid Driver’s License as required. Skills and Abilities: • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Ability to deal with others effectively. • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. • Ability to organize work. • Ability to operate related equipment. --- This posting is for a position at a facility covered by the Provincial Health Officer’s Single Site Order and selected applicant(s) must comply with the requirements of the order. |
