We’re hiring an experienced mental health nurse to join our cohesive team at Daly Pavilion located at KBRH in Trail.
Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital is located in Trail, BC and the Daly Pavilion Psychiatry Unit has 12 busy beds and provides support to ER and the hospital for mental health and addictions clients seen or admitted for other reasons. As the Mental Health nurse you will provide: nursing care to psychiatric patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team; enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers; demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice; maintains and advances own clinical competence; participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
The shift types for this casual position are days and nights; shift times are from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

• Graduation from an approved school of nursing
• Two years’ recent related experience in a mental health and addictions environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• current practicing registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
