Penticton Regional Hospital is presently hiring for Casual positions within the Acute Care departments (i.e. Surgery, Medicine, Rehab). If you are seeking a dynamic opportunity to build skills in multiple areas of focus, this is the opening for you!
In accordance with the vision and values of the organization and under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.
The days and hours are rotating days 07:30 to 15:30. Some weekend work is required as this is a 7 day/week service.
Casual employment provides relief in positions occupied by regular full time and regular part time employees. This includes short-notice, on-call shifts to covering in a specific position. Casual employees are called in to work in the order of their seniority and accumulate seniority on the basis of the number of hours worked. Interior Health requires all employees that work Casual to work a minimum of 225 hours over a twelve (12) month period.

Education, Training, and Experience:
* Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program.

• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
