Interior Health’s Network & Telecommunications team is looking for a permanent full time Network Systems Analyst to join us in Penticton, B.C.! The Network Systems Analyst performs a variety of duties to ensure the provision of effective implementation, maintenance and support of complex network systems consisting of local area, wide area, telephone, and telecommunications networks, and associated equipment such as routers, switches, hubs, and cabling throughout Interior Health.
This Network Systems Analyst role has a strong focus on network infrastructure support and refresh in a large enterprise environment across numerous sites and communities. Experience with HPE Aruba and Cisco networks will be an asset.
The Network and Telecommunications Department at Interior Health is also responsible for all telecommunications infrastructure. Interior Health has a large Cisco Voice over IP Unified Communications deployment. In order to support this infrastructure we require our Network Systems Analysts to have a solid understanding of Unified Communications. Experience in Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Skype for Business would also be extremely valuable.
The Network and Telecommunications configures, tests, installs and maintains network hardware, gateways, servers, terminals, and interfaced instruments. Also, will monitor network and telephone system security and make or recommends adjustments. The role also includes developing and maintaining network and technical procedures and documentation related to the design of new and existing systems.
Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining a database of interface equipment, network and telephone system components and configurations. As a member of the team, the technician consults and participates in the specification, design and installation of data and telecommunications cable plants in the region. They will also act as a liaison with external agencies to ensure that telecommunications issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner and perform other related duties as assigned.

Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science plus three years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to write programs in a variety of programming languages.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
