Position Summary

Casual opportunity for a Cardiology Technologist based at the Kootenay Lake Hospital in beautiful Nelson, BC.

As the Cardiology Technologist in this Level 1 Community Hospital, you would work independently within a supportive team environment; to perform duties related to cardiology testing. This may typically include techniques relating to Electro Cardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter and event Recorders and pacemaker monitoring and other types of diagnostic cardiac equipment.

As this a casual position and hours are not guaranteed and may vary from 0 – 37.5 hours. There may be the opportunity for casual shifts at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. Shift times are Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 14:00.

Qualifications

Completion of a Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists recognized Diploma program in Cardiology Technology plus two years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT).
