Position Summary |
CLXT opportunity now available in beautiful Nakusp, B.C! If you have successfully completed a recognized Combined Lab/X-Ray CLXT program and would enjoy lakeside living in this friendly, small mountain town; then we would love to hear from you. The CLXT will perform a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies. The Laboratory/X-Ray Technologist also performs routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and trouble shoots equipment problems as required. The Arrow Lakes Hospital is well equipped and maintained Level 1 Community site in the Kootenay Boundary health service area. Situated in south central B.C. on a popular tourist route between Nelson and Vernon, the hospital offers many services including 6 acute care beds and a busy 5 bed 24/7 Emergency department with a new helipad onsite. Community Profile: The Arrow Lakes, established over 100 years ago, have plenty to offer to all residents, from breathtaking scenery and relaxing hot springs, to fabulous golf, plentiful fishing, great hiking trails and many other activities. Nakusp is known for its year-round amenities and warm and friendly community. It is a vibrant business community and offers all the amenities only minutes away. |
Qualifications |
Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program. Eligible for registration with a provincial licensing body. One year of general experience in both laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
