Position Summary

CLXT opportunity now available in beautiful Nakusp, B.C! If you have successfully completed a recognized Combined Lab/X-Ray CLXT program and would enjoy everything that this friendly, small town has to offer; then we would love to hear from you.

The brand new CLXT position will perform a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies. The Laboratory/X-Ray Technologist also performs routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and trouble shoots equipment problems as required.

The Arrow Lakes Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital in the Kootenay Boundary health service area. Located in Nakusp, south central B.C. between Nelson and Vernon, the hospital offers services including surgical, inpatient and emergency.

This is a temporary part-time 0.46fte opportunity. Days of work are rotating and shift times vary. Participation in the department out of hours and weekend on-call rota is a requirement of the position.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program. Eligible for registration with a provincial licensing body.
One year of general experience in both laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience would be preferred.
