We are presently hiring and looking for new team members to join Kimberley Special Care Home.
Kimberley Special Care Home is a long term care facility embodying a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. The facility consists of 53 residential beds, 2 flexible short stay beds, and 24 hour nursing service with Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Assistant services.
Casual employment includes: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during a temporary absences; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position. A qualified candidate will have completed a recognized, two-year Therapy Assistant Program and have ability to work independently as well as a team player within a multidisciplinary team.
In accordance with the vision and values of the organization and under the clinical direction of a Therapist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.

Education, Training and Experience:
• Completion of a recognized, two-year Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program.
• Valid Driver’s License as required.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
