We are seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant at Kimberley Special Care Home on permanent, part time basis (59 hours bi-weekly).
Kimberley Special Care Home is a long term care facility embodying a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. The facility consists of 53 residential beds, 2 flexible short stay beds, and 24 hour nursing service with Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Assistant services.
In this role the Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the Therapist(s) in monitoring and evaluating residents’ progression. The overall goal is taking clinical direction from a Therapist and functioning as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the resident.
Shifts are scheduled Monday to Friday (09:00 to 15:24 hours). We are seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant who demonstrates a continuous improvement and best practice approach in rehabilitation practice while advancing his/her own clinical competence.

Completion of a recognized two-year Therapy Assistant or Rehabilitation Assistant Program.
