This is a relief part time opportunity. This position is to provide coverage until the return of the incumbent scheduled for January 7, 2020. Shifts of work are rotating days and nights; 07:30 to 19:45 and 19:30 to 07:45.
The Emergency Response MH Nurse provides consultation or assessment service to the Emergency Department or the Acute/Inpatient Mental Health service at the request of the Emergency Room physician, the general practitioner or the Emergency triage nurse. Initiates treatment as ordered by the attending physician and liaises with community services and agencies as indicated. Provides follow-up to all patients discharged from the Psychiatric Unit.

Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
Two years’ recent related experience in a mental health and addictions environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
