Position Summary

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join the Kamloops Health Centre.

In this position the Speech Language Pathologist provides family-centered speech & language services to children from birth to school entry and their caregivers. Responsibilities include the provision of a full range of clinical services, community consultation and education, and implementation of a population health approach to promote healthy communication in the general population. The
Speech Language Pathologist will also provide outreach to the community of 100 Mile House.

Days of work are Monday through Fridays (08:30 to 16:30 hours) with weekends and statutory holidays off.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.
• One year’s experience in working with clients in Early Childhood Development setting.
• Experience working with clients with hearing impairment & social communication difficulties, including those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder is preferred.
• Valid BC Driver’s license is required.
