We are seeking to build on our Casual pool of Rehabilitation Assistants at Overlander Extended Care Facility. Overlander is a 183 bed long-term care facility located in Kamloops that believes that each person is a unique and valuable individual who will be treated with respect and dignity. We encourage the involvement of the residents, their family and friends in decision making. .
We are seeking Rehabilitation Assistants with the knowledge and expertise in working independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team with ability to carry out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assist the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from Zero to 37.5 hours per week. Days of work vary with expectation to work weekends. Hours of work will be 08:00 to 16:00 hours.

Education, Training, and Experience:
• Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
