Are you a Rehabilitation Assistant who is interdependent, adaptable, and enjoys working as part of a high-functioning and cohesive team? Royal Inland Hospital is seeking to hire new Casual Rehabilitation Assistant team members to assist with coverage in the hospital’s Acute Care areas. Areas include Orthopedics, Medicine, Complex Rehab, and Surgical Services.
Working in accordance with the vision and values of the organization and under the clinical direction of a Therapist, a Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the patient. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists Therapists in monitoring and evaluating patients’ progression.
Royal Inland Hospital Physiotherapy operates 7 days per work. Shifts may be scheduled on a rotating basis, including weekends, where hours of work are 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
Casual employment means there are no guarantee of hours and work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Casual employees will receive 12.6% of their straight time pay, exclusive of all premiums, in lieu of scheduled vacations and statutory holidays. Upon completion of 180 hours, you have the option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans. Education, Training, and Experience:
• Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant or Therapy Assistant Diploma Program.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
