Position Summary

We are currently looking to hire a registered Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to clients referred to Thompson Park Mall’s Home Health Program. Travel will be involved with this position to serve the immediate area of Kamloops, BC, and the rural areas of Lillooet to the North Shuswap (an approximate radius of 100 to 200 km). Serving the rural areas is a bi-weekly to monthly occurrence. There is an Interior Health Rehabilitation Assistant to support this position.

This is a casual opportunity. Casual employment includes: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during a temporary absence; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position. Days and shifts may vary with hours 08:00 to 16:00. Once hired into a casual position, employees become eligible to apply internal on relief and permanent positions as they become vacant. Upon completion of 180 hours in Casual employment, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans.

• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
• Practice and experience in a Home Health Community setting is an asset.
