Position Summary |
If you are a motivated and reliable Occupational Therapist with strong time management and communication skills we would love to hear from you for our relief, full time opening. As a member of the Home and Community Care Team, this position is integrated into the multidisciplinary team to support the clients’ improvement towards self-management of chronic conditions in the home and/or community setting. A Home and Community Occupational Therapist provides in-home assessments, consultations, treatment and education to clients and their families. Your work matters by assisting clients restore, improve or maintain physical capabilities and ensure the home environment is organized to make daily tasks more manageable. Services include training in the use of mobility devices like walkers and crutches; or recommending modifications to make a home accessible and safe. The Occupational Therapist also provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regards to transfer of function. Relocation Allowance package may be offered with position. Schedule will be Days Monday through Friday with the occasional weekend where on call is require. Qualifications |
• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program. • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). • Valid BC Driver’s license.
