This exciting new Nurse Practitioner position at Orchards Walk in South East Kamloops is a partnership with Supporting Team Excellence with Patients Society (STEPS). Working as a collaborative member of the inter-professional team , you will provide comprehensive patient centered care for patients of all ages and through all stages of illness. A focus will be frail seniors. You will play a key role in the team's development in providing primary care for patients as individuals, couples and families attached to the clinic including seniors, Indigenous, LGBTQ2+, those requiring complex care and those within multigenerational and multicultural families within the general patient population. You will collaborate and work closely with all service providers at the clinic and appropriate community services to help each patient achieve their highest level of health.
Orchards Walk is a newly built clinic and is designed to be a Team Based Primary and Community Health Center. The vision is to have a community clinic in which the patient is a team member in a multi-disciplinary team oriented to team-based primary care. Currently, the team is made up of six family physicians, a Clinical Pharmacist consultant, five MOAs, and an office manager. The patient panel continues to grow as new patients are being accepted daily. As the clinic grows so too will the hours to include evenings and weekends.

Education, Training and Experience:
• Current registration and exam qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC)
• Successful completion of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
• Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience
• Valid Driver's License.
