We are seeking a Casual Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, B.C.
The RIH Medical Imaging – Nuclear Medicine department has a strong team approach supported by opportunities for on-going education and career growth. The RIH Nuclear Medicine Department is a busy tertiary hospital service. We offer a full range of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine services performing over 5500 exams per year. This is a very large exam volume for a two camera department and technologists should expect to be challenged daily to meet this demand.
The nuclear medicine department operates between the hours of 0700-1600 Monday to Friday with no on-call required. The staffing complement is for 2 SPECT/CT Gamma Cameras performing over 5500 exams per year.
Our department consists of highly competent technologists with varying levels of experience who must work extremely well as a team to accomplish our targets. We strive to innovate and expand our service offerings as new products, procedures and technologies become available. To fit into this department, applicants should be hard working team players who are always looking for ways to improve workflow and quality of work.
Applicants who do not like change or would prefer a slower pace may not be suitable for this department.

Education, Training and Experience:
Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
Current Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine (RTNM) certification with CAMRT.
