Position Summary

We are seeking a “Casual” Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital.

The RIH Medical Imaging – Nuclear Medicine department has a strong team approach supported by opportunities for on-going education and career growth. The RIH Nuclear Medicine Department is a busy tertiary hospital service. We offer a full range of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine services performing over 5500 exams per year. This is a very large exam volume for a two camera department and technologists should expect to be challenged daily to meet this demand.

The nuclear medicine department operates between the hours of 0700-1600 Monday to Friday with no on-call required. The staffing complement is for 2 SPECT/CT Gamma Cameras performing over 5500 exams per year.

Our department consists of highly competent technologists with varying levels of experience who must work extremely well as a team to accomplish our targets. We strive to innovate and expand our service offerings as new products, procedures and technologies become available. To fit into this department, applicants should be hard working team players who are always looking for ways to improve workflow and quality of work. Applicants who do not like change or would prefer a slower pace may not be suitable for this department.

Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent part-time or full time positions. There are many opportunities with Interior Health that begin with casual on-call positions and lead to regular employment.

Be part of a dynamic team! Come and join us! Our focus is on giving people room to grow, to make an impact in the lives of others. Apply Today!
