Interior Health is seeking an experienced permanent part time MRI Technologist to join Royal Inland Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department. Located in beautiful Kamloops’ B.C., Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is a Tertiary Hospital providing high-level, specialty medical care. Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, and under the direction of a Radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures, assists the Radiologists, inputs patient specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) PACS and provides direction regarding procedures to student technologists and staff trainees. This is a permanent part time (0.81FTE) position working rotating days, evenings, and nights. RIH’s Medical Imaging Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position’s schedule is days, evenings and nights rotating. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits plan that includes coverage for basic Medical Services, Dental Services, and Extended Health. Qualifications |
Education, Training and Experience: • Graduate of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging program. • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). **Working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy would be considered an asset. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills and must have good teamwork and customer service skills. |
