About the Job:
The Registered Nurse:
• Provides nursing care to emergency patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence
• Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned
This is a permanent full-time opportunity.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights; rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours.

The upgraded digital infrastructure and modernized digital platform are designed to streamline operations and improve patient care.
The expanded triage area is now bright, open, and welcoming, providing a more comfortable environment for patients as they arrive. The introduction of Care Initiation Areas ensures diagnostics begin early, allowing for faster treatment and better outcomes. We’ve also unveiled brand new private exam rooms for added patient privacy, and a completely renovated nursing staff room, featuring a kitchen area and a quiet lounge to support staff wellbeing.
Additionally, we've developed new departmental roles, such as the inventory supply clerk, designed to save steps for nurses and enhance workflow efficiency. With an increased allied health presence, we provide stronger support for nursing staff, ensuring a collaborative and efficient care environment. Qualifications
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Advanced preparation in an emergency clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years.

Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage will be $41.42 to $55.91.
