Boundary District Hospital in Grand Forks are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the team!
The Laboratory Technologist works in a team based environment and performs a variety of duties within the Core Lab (Chemistry, Hematology, Tranfusion Medicine) such as routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, greeting patients, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.
Boundary District Hospital is a level 1 community hospital where the large team of healthcare professionals facilitate a range of interdisciplinary healthcare services including 24/7 Emergency, surgical services , inpatient care, community health programming as well as Laboratory and X-Ray.
This is a permanent full-time position. Days of work are rotating and shift times are: 07:00 to 15:30, 06:30 to 15:00, 08:30 to 17:00, 07:30 to 16:00. Participation in the overnight and alternating weekend on-call out of hours is required.

Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS
One (1) year recent related experience
