Interior Health seeking a Physiotherapist for two part-time positions that may be combined to work a four day per week position: 1) Tuesdays and Thursdays in Creston Health Centre, and 2) Mondays and Fridays in Creston Valley Hospital/Swan Lake Lodge.
While at Creston Health Centre, the Physiotherapist works in home care assisting a diverse variety of clients with mobility and home safety assessments. Clients may have total joint replacement therapy needs, neuro-stroke therapy needs and/or may be the frail elderly maintaining independence in their homes.
While at Creston Valley Hospital and Swan Lake Lodge the Physiotherapist works in Acute outpatient care and Long Term care. Creston Valley Hospital is a 16 bed Community hospital offering services that include surgical, inpatient and emergency. Swan Valley Lodge is a 90 bed facility that includes six respite/convalescent beds and a 23 bed dementia unit. The Rehab Team at Creston Valley Hospital includes one more Physiotherapist, an Occupational Therapist and two Rehabilitation Assistants.
Both Physiotherapist positions are relief until the return of the incumbent (estimated July 2019) with a possibility of extension.
Interior Health Physiotherapists works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The Physiotherapist participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.
Upon hiring into a relief role, employees are eligible to maintain Casual employment status at the end of the relief and/or to apply for internal job postings that could include permanent positions. Relief positions are eligible for Interior Health’s comprehensive benefit package and recognition of previous experienced worked in determining starting salary.

This position may be eligible for a loan forgiveness program through the BC Provincial Government. Physical Therapy is an eligible profession that can take advantage of this program.
Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC.
Valid Driver's License.
