We are presently hiring and looking for new team members to join F.W. Green Home; a Long Term Care facility located in Cranbrook, BC.
F.W. Green Home embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility is a 60 bed facility (53 long term care beds), which is built on three levels, including a ground floor access basement. Two of the beds are Tertiary Geriatric: one is Rehabilitative and the other is Specialized Residential.
This is a relief part time position working Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 14:30.
A qualified candidate will have completed a recognized, two-year Therapy Assistant Program and have ability to work independently as well as a team player within a multidisciplinary team. In accordance with the vision and values of the organization and under the clinical direction of a Therapist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client.
The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.

Education, Training and Experience:
Completion of a recognized two-year Therapy Assistant or Rehabilitation Assistant Program.
Valid Driver’s License as required.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to operate related equipment.
