Position Summary |
We are seeking a relief part time MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Medical Team at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in beautiful Cranbrook, B.C. East Kootenay Regional Hospital is centrally located 1 km from downtown Cranbrook and very close to the College of the Rockies and the RecPlex. Pay parking is available and cafeteria services are on-site, as are a pharmacy and coffee shop. Cranbrook is close to 3 ski hills and 8 golf courses not to mention several fishing lakes and streams. The East Kootenays is a great area for hiking, mountain biking and white-water rafting. Located in the southeastern corner of British Columbia, Cranbrook is the business capital of the East Kootenays and the largest city in the Rocky Mountain Region. Nestled on a gentle plain with scenic mountain vistas in the distance, it is considered by many to be an ideal location to raise a family or retire. Boasting more hours of sunshine than anywhere else in the province, its residents enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including golf, hiking and skiing. For those who enjoy more urban pursuits, there are shops, boutiques and cafés, as well as an arts centre and heritage attractions. Cranbrook’s economy is driven primarily by mining, forestry, transportation and tourism. Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader (or designate), the MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures. This position is responsible for assisting the Radiologists during procedure, inputting patient specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) PACS and providing direction regarding procedures to student technologists and staff trainees. This position involves day and evening shifts and may require working weekends per operational requirements. This is a relief part time (0.82FTE) position ending June 2022 or until return of incumbent. Qualifications |
Graduate of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging program. Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). |
