Interior Health has career opportunities for Operating Room Nurses to maximize their skills and to be part of a dynamic team that includes RNs, LPNs, Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Anesthesiologist Assistants, Nurse Educators, Resource Nurses, and the multi-disciplinary team.
Our hospitals range from Community level hospitals or Regional sites to trauma focused Tertiary high acuity. Surgical Services at each worksite will vary, and will offer a broad scope of practice: Cardiac Surgery, Dental Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Plastic Reconstructive Surgery, Spinal, Thoracic Surgery, Urology, and Vascular.
RNs can work in either Circulating or Scrub role. LPNs tend to Scrub, but with experience and training may take a Circulating role.
The Southern Interior of BC offers the choice of an active urban lifestyle or quiet rural setting. We have Operating Room Departments in the following hospitals:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
• Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of perioperative nursing and one year recent related clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification required.
Licensed Practical Nurse:
• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses with the full range of current licensed practical nursing competencies.
• Graduation from an accredited Perioperative Certificate for Licensed Practical Nurses plus one (1) year recent related experience.
• Current full practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC (CLPNBC).
• Current CPR certification required.
