Position Summary

Interior Health is looking for Program Coordinators (Recreation) to join us in Ashcroft!

This position plans, develops, implements and evaluates a variety of recreational/leisure programs designed to support clients’ health and well-being in long-term care, acute and/or adult day program settings. This position also supervises designated staff, students and volunteers.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements may vary from zero to 37.5 hours per week. Shifts may be any day of the week, with shift times of 11:00 to 17:30, 11:00 to 19:00, 09:30 to 17:30.

Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent part-time or full time positions. There are many opportunities with Interior Health that begin with casual on-call positions and lead to regular employment.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

• Graduation from a recognized recreational program plus one years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• An appropriate, valid Class IV vehicle license as required
