Position Summary

The Remote Practice Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and core competencies for Remote Certified nursing and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP), as well as within a patient and family centered care model. The Remote Practice Registered Nurse is responsible for providing primary health care and emergency services to the identified community.

If you are a self-starter who works well independently, appreciate a collaborative supportive network and have remote nursing experience, we have a permanent part time (0.60FTE) opportunity for you to work in the beautiful community of Alexis Creek!

The clinic is open between the hours of 0830 - 1630, Monday to Friday. This position requires on-call hours between 1630 - 0830 for the remainder of the 24 hours as well as on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. On call arrangements can be negotiated

Residence is supplied and the trailer is equipped with a bedroom, Satellite TV and WIFI, laundry facilities, and a fully equipped kitchen so you just have to bring your own food!

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

• BCCNP Remote Practice Certification is required to be considered for this position.

• Five years of broad base clinical experience in an outpost setting, a rural acute care setting or in community or public health, or an equivalent.

• Current valid BC Driver’s License.
