The 100 Mile District General Hospital is an acute care hospital in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area. Housed within the South Cariboo Health Centre, the hospital offers services including surgical, inpatient and emergency.
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse - Oncology is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Registered Nurses are expected to demonstrate a specialized body of knowledge in addition to skills such as strong critical thinking, communication, advocacy and a commitment to high qulity, safe patient centered care.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the BCCNP.
Completion of a recognized post-basic program in oncology nursing and two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Certification in administration of chemotherapeutic agents required.
