Position Summary

100 Mile House is a very friendly welcoming place, not too big and not too small. The town of 100 Mile House is the main service centre for the South Cariboo region. Many small communities and neighbourhoods dot the region with their own special character and meeting places. If you are looking for a cohesive Rehabilitation Team to join, want to support a community population of approximately 20,000 in your practice, and value work-life balance, consider this permanent appointment at 100 Mile House & District Hospital.

100 Mile House & District Hospital is a 16 acute care bed facility, and we are seeking a Physiotherapist who will provide consults for Acute Inpatients and Long Term Care Clients. There is also some outreach into the community to assist with discharges. This community hospital presents a mixed client base ranging from acute respiratory to chronic disease, knee and hip replacements, non-telemetry to chronic, and medical. The Emergency Department has 10 treatment bays and receives approximately 35 patient visits per day. You will work closely with the Physicians and team, to deliver patient-centered care by assisting individual patients and their families respond to changing health care needs.

Community Occupational Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, Inpatient Physiotherapy, Outpatient Physiotherapy, Long Term Care Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Social Workers, Inpatient Dietitian, Dietitian support for Diabetes Education Program and Outpatients….If you like great variety, to think on your toes and to work with a great multi-disciplinary team, you will fit in and enjoy working here. Days of work are Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays (08:00 to 16:00 hours).

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Current Driver's License.
• Willingness to relocate to one of the adventurous communities in BC’s Southern Cariboo Region.
