Medical Lab Technologist opportunity now available at the 100 Mile District General Hospital!
As the Laboratory Technologist you will work independently within our supportive and small team environment, providing vital Lab services to both inpatients and outpatients from the community and surrounding areas. This is a generalist Lab position and offers interesting and varied work within across all areas of Core Lab.
Typical duties may include: routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, greeting patients, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.
This is a relief part-time 0.40fte opportunity. Days of work are rotating and shift times are 06:30 to 16:10, 14:30 to 00:10, 08:00 to 14:30, 07:00 to 16:40

Community: 100 Mile House is a vibrant and close knit community in the heart of the Cariboo, located 5 hours north of Vancouver and only 2 hours from Kamloops by car. • Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
• Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS
• One (1) year recent related experience
