Position Summary
We are hiring registered Social Workers to join us at Kamloops North Shore Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC). Additional opportunity to orientate to Royal Inland Hospital’s Urgent Primary Care and Learning Centre (UPCLC).
Casual shifts may be available in a variety of health care and social work settings. Casual means that hours are not guaranteed and may vary depending upon operational needs. Shifts may be called out in advance and/or a short notice.
Days of Work: Rotating (varies as needed)
Shift times: 7:50 to 19:00
* Applicants must have the ability to participate in a 2-week orientation schedule; rotating 4 days on and 4 days off.

About the position:
Join the interdisciplinary team at the Kamloops North Shore Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC), where you will support individuals and families accessing same-day care for urgent, non-emergency health concerns. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, care planning, short-term counselling, crisis intervention, advocacy, and system navigation to help clients achieve their health and wellness goals. Working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, mental health and substance use clinicians, and other allied health professionals, you will connect clients to community resources and specialized supports while promoting self-management and improved social well-being. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university. Two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting working with medically complex clients with concurrent disorders, or a combination of education, training and experience. Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers. Current valid BC driver’s license.
