Position Summary
We are seeking a relief (temporary) full-time Rehabilitation Assistant at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. This position is expected to run until the return of the current incumbent and supports the Speech-Language Pathology team.
Days of work: Monday to Friday
Shift times: 08:30 to 16:30

About the role:
Under the clinical direction of the professional practice lead of the speech-language pathology department or designate, responsibilities include carrying out swallowing, speech/language and communication therapy activities, material prep and ordering within the speech-language pathology department. The Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client. The Rehabilitation Assistant may carry out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.

Qualifications
Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Class 5 Vehicle License if applicable.
