Position Summary

We are hiring a permanent, part-time (0.50 FTE) Physiotherapist at Vernon Primary Care Network (PCN).

Days of work: Every other Wednesday; Thursday and Friday
Shift times: 08:00 to 16:00

About the position:
Primary Care Networks (PCN) are community-based networks of health care professionals and clinics who work within the community to develop local healthcare solutions to meet the unique needs of their community. The Vernon PCN team is made up of family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, registered dietitians, physiotherapists, respiratory therapist, and others.

Working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will provide a full range of physiotherapy services, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program development, consultation, equipment prescription, and client and caregiver education. In this role, you will help clients achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes by promoting functional independence and supporting their rehabilitation goals. You will use your clinical expertise to deliver patient-centered care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Beyond direct patient care, you will contribute to the success of the clinic, the organization, and the physiotherapy profession by participating in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, research activities, and educational opportunities. Through your commitment to excellence and continuous learning, you will support the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services and help advance patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved program of Physical Therapy
• Full licensee as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) and eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Physical Therapy.
• Demonstrated post graduate education in orthopedic manual and manipulative therapy (minimum Level III (Part A or B an asset), or an equivalent education).
• Minimum of three (3) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. With a minimum of one (1) year experience in a direct access facility diagnosing acute/subacute musculoskeletal injuries.
