Position Summary

Interior Health is seeking a permanent full-time Business Partner, Employee Experience who is passionate about driving meaningful change in healthcare. The successful candidate will be a self-directed professional with strong analytical and research skills who can assess complex information, identify trends, and develop practical recommendations to support employee experience initiatives. The salary range for this position is $90,770 (min) to $113,462 (midpoint) to $130,48 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE. Interior Health typically establishes salaries within the minimum and midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

How will you create an impact:
The Business Partner, Employee Experience, plays a pivotal role in advancing the employee experience across Interior Health. Modeling a continuous improvement approach, the Business Partner develops and implements innovative strategies and initiatives that enhance the employee lifecycle. Areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to, employee onboarding, recognition, continuous listening, accessibility, inclusion, retention, employee experience measurement, workplace culture, employee engagement and other employee lifecycle initiatives that support employee well-being, belonging and organizational effectiveness. This role is instrumental in driving ongoing enhancements that contribute to a positive, inclusive, accessible, and engaging employee experience and supports the positioning of Interior Health as an employer of choice.

Collaborating closely with leaders and staff across the organization, the Business Partner fosters an employee-centered, high-performance culture that promotes empowerment, productivity, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce. Through the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, the Business Partner gains insights into employees' perspectives on workplace culture, inclusion, levels of engagement, and sense of safety to enable a data-informed approach, establishing both strategic and effective employee experience efforts. The Business Partner identifies barriers and opportunities across the employee lifecycle and develops evidence-informed solutions that support workforce well-being, belonging, retention, and equitable access to employment experiences and opportunities.

What will you work on:
• Develops and implements comprehensive recognition programs that celebrate employee achievements and milestones, and contributions, fostering a culture of appreciation through recognition events, awards and other engagement activities.

• Collaborates with department leaders to support integration of employee experience initiatives, including recognition, engagement, retention, inclusion, and onboarding into everyday practices.

• Implements and manages continuous listening approaches to gather feedback from employees, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups, stay interviews and other employee lifecycle feedback mechanisms

• Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, barriers, opportunities, and areas for improvement, related to employee experience, engagement, retention, onboarding, accessibility, and inclusion and workplace culture and supports the development of solutions to address identified gaps.

• Develops action plans in response to feedback and works with leaders and partners to implement changes.

• Develops, monitors, and reports on employee experience metrics and key performance indicators, including employee satisfaction, engagement, retention, and onboarding effectiveness, and provides data-informed insights, benchmarking, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Collaborates with colleagues in Employee Experience and other departments to align initiatives with overall Interior Health goals and strategic priorities.

• Communicates effectively with employees at all levels to promote understanding and engagement with employee experience initiatives.

• Stays current with industry trends, best practices and emerging approaches in employee experience, recognition, onboarding, retention, accessibility and inclusion.

• Leads the design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of employee experience and employee lifecycle programs, services, and initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and enhancement in support of organizational priorities and employee experience outcomes.

• Provides consultation and subject matter expertise to leaders and partners on employee experience strategies, programs, and practices, including onboarding, retention, accessibility, inclusion, engagement, and workplace culture, and develops evidence-informed recommendations to improve employee retention and workplace experience.

• Leads and participates in cross-functional projects, committees, and working groups that advance employee experience and organizational culture priorities.

• Prepares and delivers reports, presentations, and recommendations that communicate employee experience trends, outcomes, risks, and opportunities to leaders and partners.

• In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience
• An undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• Seven (7) years of experience in employee experience, engagement, organizational development, or other related fields. Previous experience working in a large, complex, unionized environment is an asset.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing employee experience related programs and initiatives.
• Experience in data analysis, including qualitative and quantitative data, and translating findings into actionable outcomes.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams and projects.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in HR and other departments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives within a complex organizational environment.
