Position Summary
Interior Health has an exciting opportunity for a relief full-time Administrative Services Assistant to join their team at the Thompson Park Mall in Kamloops, B.C.
Position End Date: Until June 7, 2027 or return of Incumbent.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, data entry and records management skills, sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential client information, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced health care environment. This position is well suited to someone who is comfortable working at in reception, client scheduling, administrative coordination, inventory and supply management, and hands-on support within a clinical setting.
The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, accuracy and reliability, while communicating professionally with clients, families, staff, health care providers and external contacts. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to remain calm, respectful and professional when interacting with clients who may be anxious, confused or upset at times. Candidates should be prepared for a role that extends beyond traditional administrative duties and requires flexibility, teamwork and a willingness to support the operational needs of the program.

What Will You Work On?
In this role you will perform a variety of reception, administrative and Health Unite Aide support duties including data entry, gathering, organizing, collecting, collating and verifying information, types correspondence, prepares presentations, arranges meetings, types agendas, takes and transcribes minutes, books travel, performs reception duties and record management. You will also be responsible for scheduling and confirming client appointments, receiving, recording and checking balances of cash transactions, maintaining and cleaning medical/surgical supplies, equipment and HCIS resource material.
Clinical support for this role includes cleaning, setting up and dismantling rooms, cleaning/sanitizing toys and equipment, weighing and measuring babies, calibrating equipment, vision screenings. Cleaning medical equipment and instruments, delivering supplies and biological will also be a part of this integral role.
Scheduling Information:
Hours of work are rotating day & evening shifts: 07:45 to 16:15, 10:00 to 18:30, 11:30 to 20:00 hours.

Qualifications
Education, Training & Experience:
• Grade 12
• Graduation from a recognized Office Administration Certificate Program
• One years recent related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Current valid B.C. Driver’s License
• Ability to type 40 nwpm
