About the Job
Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and performing related clerical duties.
This is a Permanent Part Time (0.50) opportunity.
Shifts of work will be scheduled day shifts Monday to Friday with weekends and stats off.

Qualifications
Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program, plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Canadian Driver’s License as required by position
Ability to type 25 WPM *5 minute invigilated typing test dated within the past 48 months from an approved institution. Please note we do not accept self-administered online tests*
