Position Summary

Interior Health is looking for an experienced Project Support Coordinator, Business Solutions to join our team on a full time Project position that is expected to last until March 31st 2029.

Salary Range:
Salary range for the position is $58,494 to $76,773. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

About the job:
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Project Support Coordinator, Business Solutions provides operational project coordination support across Business Solutions initiatives. Working under the direction of the Manager or designate, the role supports the organization, by applying strong administrative and organizational skills to maintain project documentation, managing timelines and action items, and supporting communication across teams. The role contributes to well-organized project delivery by ensuring information is accurate, deadlines are tracked, and coordination activities are carried out consistently.

The Project Support Coordinator works collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and partners to support project delivery, onboarding processes, enhance service operations, and maintain accurate information across various systems and tools.

Typical duties and responsibilities:

• Supports operational project coordination activities by scheduling meetings, tracking actions, monitoring timelines and deliverables, and providing regular status updates, including escalation of risks and issues as required. Assists with monitoring tasks, timelines, and deliverables, escalating risks or issues as required.

• Maintains documentation, templates, records, and collaboration spaces (e.g., Teams, SharePoint), including onboarding materials and process guides to support standardized practices.

• Coordinates communication across project teams, including distributing updates, managing correspondence, and responding to routine inquiries.

• Tracks project activities, deadlines, and deliverables, and follows up with team members to support timely completion of assigned work.

• Provides basic orientation to Business Solutions tools, services, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).

• Supports multiple concurrent projects by assisting with prioritization, tracking competing deadlines, and maintaining organized task lists.


• Identifies gaps, scheduling conflicts, or risks in project coordination and escalates to the Project Lead or Manager for direction.

• Supports consistent use of tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Excel for tracking and document management.

• In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience
• Completion of a recognized certificate or diploma in Administrative Assistance, Office Administration, Project Coordination, or a related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent related experience in a senior administrative or coordination support role.
• Experience managing calendars, deadlines, documentation, and correspondence in a multi-partner environment.
• Experience supporting projects or coordinating activities across teams is an asset.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Understand/exposed to a variety of software development approaches and methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to collaborate within a multi-team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, implement, and organize projects and to problem-solve.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highly dynamic, fast paced, continually changing environment.
• Proficiency in systems, software, and processes necessary for the position.
• General knowledge of current healthcare issues and health information standards
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
