Salary Range:
Salary range for the position is $108,147 to $155,461. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.
About the job:
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Manager, M365 Enablement (Manager) is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and governance of Microsoft 365-based collaboration solutions across Interior Health. The Manager is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and execution of initiatives to ensure alignment with the business needs of Interior Health and Health Technology portfolio. Key responsibilities include team leadership, project and change management, governance development, user adoption strategies, and ongoing service and license optimization for M365 technologies.
Typical duties and responsibilities:
• Develops strategies for M365 technologies (including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Office applications), supporting both Interior Health (IH) and provincial initiatives.
• Represents IH in the Health Technology community by liaising with provincial partners, other organizations, software vendors, and on various internal and external committees. Participates in internal and external committees with a specific focus on the advancement of M365 tools and services.
• Participates in provincial governance committees and working groups to develop M365 standards, define adoption strategies, and set direction for cloud-based collaboration platforms across the health sector.
• Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to assigned team members utilizing effective management activities such as coaching, mentoring, skills and leadership development, and performance management, including disciplinary action up to and including termination.
• Manages the activities of the M365 Enablement team by performing duties such as:
• Coordination of work activities within the department by establishing work schedules and priorities, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
• Maintaining timekeeping/payroll documentation and performing other related duties such as scheduling for relief staff, authorizing overtime, and arranging vacations in accordance with established procedures.
• Hiring staff by reviewing applications, conducting interviews, checking references, and on boarding new staff.
• Evaluating employee performance, determining related training and orientation requirements, and facilitating employee personal and career development.
• Providing direction and coaching to team members to meet organizational needs and expectations.
• Oversees the planning, implementation, and ongoing support of Microsoft 365 applications and systems, ensuring their effective use in enhancing collaboration, productivity, and communication across the organization.
• Develops a scalable framework for the ongoing evolution of Microsoft 365 services, including long-term planning, user adoption strategies, capacity assessment, license requirements, and training to meet organizational needs and evolving digital collaboration practices.
• Manages budget, monitors activities and ensures expenditures are within approved budgets; and identifies efficiencies that promotes the optimal use of resources.
• Establishes and maintains governance models for Microsoft 365 platforms, including policy development, ownership and accountability structures, security and compliance controls, end-user support processes, and business continuity planning.
• Acts as a liaison with members of the assigned areas/departments, particularly the collaboration department for operational support, and vendors to trouble shoot problems, assess priorities, research and evaluate alternatives, and implement recommendations.
• In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, maintain a healthy and safe work environment through complying with and implementing applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, responding to requests from WSBC, identifying hazards, and communicating risks, ensuring compliance with employee training, conducting effective incident investigations and implementing required corrective actions.

BC’s health system is in the process of transformation. Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience
• Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science, Communications or Leadership.
• Minimum of 7 years in managing a complex business environment (preferably health care) including responsibilities for planning, project management, system development, staff development, and supervision.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Skills and Abilities
• Detailed understanding of the function, process, and integration of information technology in a healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff and budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, manage, implement, and organize major projects and to problem solve.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff, Health Authority management, and external parties.

• Ability to utilize research and experiential knowledge to question and create change and innovation.
• Proficiency in systems, software, and processes necessary for the position.
