Interior Health is hiring an Analytics and Reporting Student to join the Data and Analytics Services Team.
This position qualifies for flexible work location within the Interior Health region only. This opportunity is available for approximately four months.

What will you work on?
The Interior Health Analytics and Reporting department includes Community & Clinical Service Analytics, Acute Care & Quality Analytics, Corporate & Support Service Analytics and Data Products and Services teams. The student will be part of the A&R department and participate in team functions. The student will work closely with the Manager for the assigned area as well as internal stakeholders. The student will have opportunity to engage in tasks relevant to their education such as: supporting business cycles, performance monitoring, and analysis and reporting requirements.
Some Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Participate and engage in project work. May include project coordination, communication with stakeholders, implementation and evaluation depending on student’s skill set. Assist with data gathering, analysis and reporting as directed by the Manager.
2. Create and/or update analytic documentation in alignment with departmental standards.
3. Participates in team meetings.
4. Other related duties and responsibilities assigned by the Manager.
Salary Range:
Salary range for the position is $22.66 to $25.75. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience
Enrolled in a post-secondary degree or advanced diploma (post-degree) with completed course work in a health-related discipline, health administration, epidemiology, data science, mathematics, statistics and/or computer science or equivalent combination of education, qualification and skills.
Demonstrated experience in a complex computer & technical environment. Experience with Excel is required.
** Candidates with Power BI experience will be considered an asset.

• Accountability: Responsible for work product / outcomes within scope of duties and under supervision & direction of the assigned Manager.
• Technical: Demonstrated skills and competencies in relevant data management, statistical and/or data visualization software programs such as Excel, SAS, R, Power BI and/or equivalent.
• Physical: Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
