Position Summary
We are hiring for a Casual Rehabilitation Assistant to support our Occupational Therapy team in Kelowna. Shifts may be at Kelowna General Hospital, or any of our Long-term care facilities in Kelowna. Casual means that hours are not guaranteed and may vary depending on the needs of the department. A valid BC drivers license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement of this position.
Days of Work: Days as needed
Shift times/Hours of work: 08:00 to 16:00, 08:30 to 16:30, 08:30 to 15:00

About the role:
Under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.

Qualifications
Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current valid B.C. Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle for work purposes is required
