Rehabilitation Assistant | Inpatient Psychiatry

Position Summary

We are hiring for a relief full-time Rehabilitation Assistant at the Penticton Regional Hospital. This position is anticipated to run until September 2026 or the return of the current incumbent. The Rehabilitation Assistant works closely with the Occupational Therapist supporting inpatient psychiatry, including facilitation of group work.

Days of Work: Monday to Friday
Shift times/Hours of work: 08:00 to 16:00

About the role:
Under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.

Qualifications

Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current valid B.C. Driver’s License if applicable.
