Position Summary

We are hiring a permanent, part-time (0.60 FTE) Physiotherapist for the Elkford Urgent and Primary Care (UPCC).

Days of work:
- Week 1 Wednesday/Thursday/Friday
- Week 2 Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
Shifts times: 10:00 to 18:00, 11:00 to 18:00

About the position: East Kootenay Primary Care Network
Our Elkford UPPC team consists of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Clinic Staff, Midwives, and Aboriginal Care Navigators who work together to ensure all Elk Valley residents have a home base for their everyday healthcare needs.

In this role, you will work independently and collaboratively as part of the UPPC team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. You’ll contribute to the organization and the overall goals of the profession, department; and participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education.

Qualifications

Full licensure as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Valid B.C. Driver’s license required.
